What makes BATHGAL products different from the rest?

We make our products in small batches, fresh when you order them. We use as many high quality, natural and organic ingredients as possible and do not use harmful chemicals typical of most personal care brands on the market. We feel passionately about skin care and treating ourselves with healthy, natural products. We don’t want to compromise the fun, girly vibe because we know there are loads of other hip chicks (and fellas!) like us that are crying out for something fabulous, hip AND natural.

What kind of ingredients are in BATHGAL products?

We use as many natural and organic ingredients as possible in our products. We are dedicated to supporting local business and agriculture. Therefore we focus on working with Oregon-based suppliers. Click here for detailed information on our ingredients.

What kind of fragrances do you use?

We use all natural, ethically harvested essential oils in our products providing complex, unique blends found exclusively at BATHGAL. Click here to read more about our essential oil blends.

Do you require a minimum order?

There are no minimums. Of course, we encourage frenzied buying sprees!

Do you give discounts on large orders?

Orders over $100 receive free shipping!!! Please subscribe to our newsletter to receive regular special offers that may include discounts or freebies.

Do you have a catalog?

We do not currently offer a catalog. Visit this site regularly to view our products and see all of the new and exciting things we have to offer.

Can I order samples?

Yes. We offer samples on most of our products. During checkout, please enter your request into the comments box. Free samples will be included with every order as well.

How long will it take to receive my products?

Products are created in small batches to ensure you receive the freshest product possible. Although we make every effort to have your product out the door in 2 days, it may take between 2 – 4 days for your shipment to leave our facility in the Pacific Northwest. Standard UPS shipping takes between 3 – 7 days.

What are your shipping options?

We use UPS for all of our shipping needs. You can choose expedited shipping for quicker delivery. If, for some reason, UPS shipments present a problem for you, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss alternative shipping methods.

Do you ship outside the United States?

Currently we ship within the continental United States. We will be expanding our availability to other regions very soon.

How can I track my shipment?

Provide your e-mail address along with your order and you will receive a UPS tracking number. The UPS website provides shipment tracking information.

How do I store your products and how long will they stay fresh?

RECOMMENDED USAGE TIMELINE:
Lotions, Soaps, Lip Balms, Perfume Oils and MilkShakes have a 1 year recommended usage.

Salt Scrubs, Whip’D Cream and PG Tummy Treat have a 6 month recommended usage.

FOR ALL PRODUCTS: To avoid contamination of bacteria or water, use a clean utensil to scoop out the amount needed. Store away from direct sunlight and in a cool, dry area. Dispose of your product after the recommended usage time.

Meltable Products: Whip’D Cream and lip balms. If your product melts, place in the refrigerator. The effectiveness of the product has not been compromised.

I received a product and it is slightly different than what I received last time. Is something wrong with it?

No. All of our products are handcrafted in small batches. This means there may be a slight variance based on the raw ingredients used to create the product. The PG Tummy Treat may be a little more or less dense based on the shea butter used in creating it. Variances will be slight.

I ordered one of the soaps and it looks totally different than the picture on the site. Did I receive the wrong soap?

Some of our soap colors have evolved over time and may be a bit different than what you see on the site. As we work with new suppliers and incorporate their colorants and botanicals into our soap making we are sometimes surprised by the results. This is fun and exciting for us, but if you are particular about the color of any of our soaps, please send a mail to contact us to find out if there will be any variation from the photo posted on the product page. We will try to update our photos as promptly as possible.

Will any products melt during shipping in the summer months?

Possibly. Whip’D Creams and PG Tummy Treat may melt during shipping in summer months. We recommend ordering during Fall, Winter and Spring months to avoid receiving melted products or check our In Stores* page to find a store near you that carries BATHGAL products. We will be working hard to bring our products to your area as soon as possible.

When is Customer Support available to answer my questions?

The most efficient way to contact BATHGAL is via e-mail – contact us. You can also call us at 503-857-2341 to leave a voicemail. Because we are a small, family owned and operated business, we are typically knee deep in mixing batches, creating new and exciting product and shipping your order to you. However, your questions and comments are very important to us and we will make every effort to respond to you as quickly as possible.

What is your return policy?

Unopened, unused products should be shipped back to BATHGAL within 7 days of receiving the shipment for a full refund minus the cost of shipping. Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept product returns that have been opened or used. We recommend utilizing the same packaging to return ship whenever possible to ensure the product reaches us without damage.

Customer satisfaction is extremely important to us and we want to ensure you are happy with your product. Therefore, if you experience a problem with the quality of the product you receive, please contact us immediately at contact us or 503-857-2341 with a detailed description of the issue and we will be more than happy to discuss return or replacement options with you.

I’m allergic to fragrances, do you offer anything fragrance free?

Typically these are allergic reactions to synthetic (man-made) fragrances or other chemicals in the products, like parabens. BATHGAL uses all natural essential oils to create all of our fragrances. We recommend checking with your doctor regarding the use of essential oils or feel free to contact us to request a sample size and perform a patch test to determine if you are sensitive to essential oils.

Please note, fragrance oil is used in one product – Lotta Lip Caramel tinted balm

I heard there is not a natural preservative system that works effectively. Is this true?

No. BATHGAL uses a combination of natural preservatives like grapefruit seed extract, rosemary oleoresin extract, neem oil and vitamin E oil that work in conjunction to preserve our products from bacteria, mold and rancidity for up to 1 year. While commonly used chemicals like parabens are inexpensive and will preserve products for a very long time, they run risk of causing skin irritation and long term impacts to the endocrine system. Ultimately, they are not something that we feel comfortable putting on our own skin and we won’t ask you to use them either.

Soap seems to make my skin even drier. Does BATHGAL soap cause dry skin?

No way! Our soap is handcrafted using the cold-process method. This means the oils aren’t heated to the point where they break down and lose their beneficial moisturizing properties. We use high quality, cold pressed oils that are rich and emollient. Our soaps are excellent for all skin types and smell fabulous!
